RB Leipzig chief Oliver Mintzlaff has claimed that Juventus are one of several clubs interested in signing Norwegian sensation Erling Haaland.

Haaland is still only 19 but has scored 28 goals in just 22 games for RB Salzburg this season, including eight in six Champions League matches.

That has led to some of Europe’s biggest sides scrambling to secure the striker's signature, among them Juve.

“Yes, we met with him. We are interested in the player, [there is] great interest,” Mintzlaff told Sport1.

“He listened to it, logically, and is very open to a move. He would like to change clubs in the summer at the latest.

“It’s not easy. There’s Manchester United, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund and a few other clubs as well.”

The Bianconeri have an ageing front line as Cristiano Ronaldo turns 35 in February, Gonzalo Higuain is 32 and the departing Mario Mandzukic is 33.

However, Leipzig may have an advantage due to being twinned with RB Salzburg through Red Bull owning both teams.
