Bologna have confirmed that Mitchell Dijks will be out for 2-3 months with a foot injury.

It comes after Dijks consulted a specialist in his native Netherlands, and Bologna will now be deprived of their first-choice left-back until February-March time.

“Just as I was about to return, I received some tough news,” he wrote on Twitter.  “I’ll probably be out for two to three months.”

“Just as I was about to return, I received some tough news,” he wrote on Twitter.  “I’ll probably be out for two to three months.”

That was later verified by his club, which added the Dutchman would be out “for longer than expected, with 2-3 months on the sidelines.”

The Rossoblu are 12th in Serie A and host Milan on Sunday, with their opponents one place and one point above them in the table.
