Napoli players are reportedly hiring bodyguards and living in fear of 'revenge attacks' from their own fans after Allan and Piotr Zielinski were victims of crime.

This week, 13 of the Partenopei players are on international duty with their respective countries, which will give President Aurelio De Laurentiis time to work on a fine, potentially up to 25 per cent of their salary.

In the aftermath of the player’s refusal to attend a training retreat last week, they are now also living in fear of being attacked by their own ultras.

In the aftermath of the player’s refusal to attend a training retreat last week, they are now also living in fear of being attacked by their own ultras.

Both Allan and Piotr Zielinski have been victims of vandalism this week. The Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Kalidou Koulibaly has hired a bodyguard to look after him and his family during all hours, whilst Lorenzo Insigne’s wife Genny has fled the city.

During a turbulent period, there are rumours about a fine looming over the Napoli players and key members are continuously being linked away from the San Paolo this winter.

Last week the reports surfaced regarding the club’s ultras facing the players during an open training session and trouble continues to follow the Partenopei.

After five matches without a win, Napoli are seventh in the League and the next two games against Milan in Serie A and Liverpool in the Champions League could decide Carlo Ancelotti’s future at the helm.
