Inter confirmed Alexis Sanchez, on loan from Manchester United, has dislocated his left ankle with tendon damage and may well require surgery.
The forward suffered the injury during international duty with Chile against Colombia, as a result of Juventus winger Juan Cuadrado’s tackle.
“Alexis Sanchez underwent medical tests earlier this morning at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano. Results revealed a joint dislocation in his left ankle which has caused damage to the peroneus longus tendon,” read a club statement.

Alexis Sanchez has made only four competitive appearances for Inter since his loan move from Manchester United.
He scored one goal, provided one assist and was sent off for a second bookable offence related to simulation.
