“Every game is difficult if we don’t approach it the right way. We have to face Sampdoria playing at our tempo and trying to move the ball around well,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“We picked up a good point against Cagliari. We create many chances, but at times have been unlucky with our finishing. We could’ve done better lately and ought to go for goal with more conviction.”

Genoa and Inter youth product Salcedo made his debut last week as a substitute, and only turned 18 on Tuesday, but could get a bigger role against Sampdoria today.

“Salcedo is a striker of pure instinct and he really enjoys his football. I don’t want to hold that back, or he might lose this essential element of his game.

“I expect goals from Mariusz Stepinski and not just a good work-rate. Samuel Di Carmine has not recovered, so he won’t play.”

Verona are the favourites, considering Sampdoria have lost five out of six Serie A games so far this season.

“They are a quality side. It’s true, they are going through a difficult time right now, as a new Coach is bound to bring some uncertainties to the squad,” noted Juric.
