The 22-year-old winger had been on the verge of a move to Florence, only for the deal to fall through at the last minute.

“It was the night before the transfer market shut, my agent brought me the tickets for a train to Paris and flight to Milan,”Oudin told France Football.

“He called me soon after and told me Fiorentina stalled the transfer, because their offer hadn’t reached Reims yet. Some doubts started to creep in and I realised it was going to be a long day.

“I waited and waited and waited, but at around 13.00, which was after 17-18 hours of waiting, I started to get annoyed.

“It wasn’t worth going all the way to Milan if I wasn’t their priority. I was irritated by their lack of respect.”
