Cagliari have signed Atalanta full-back Federico Mattiello on loan with an option to buy.
The deal was confirmed in a statement on Cagliari’s official website.
Mattiello came through Juventus’ youth academy and represented Italy at various youth levels.
However, injuries have plagued the early part of the 23-year-old’s career and he played just 19 times for Bologna during a loan spell last season.
