The 21-year-old only joined the Grifone from Belgrano last summer in a €1.65m deal.

Despite the Rossoblu’s difficult campaign, he became a virtual ever-present after early October, missing only four Serie A games.

He will become Juve’s second defensive signing this summer after Merih Demiral and could be followed by another in Matthijs de Ligt.

Genoa, for their part, look like making a significant profit as the Old Lady will reportedly pay €15-20m for Romero.
