According to the Corriere della Sera newspaper, this prompted an influx of calls to the Genoa ticket office requesting refunds.
Even more unusually, not all of those complaining were Juventus fans, but some Genoa supporters had only bought tickets to view the Ballon d’Or winner in action too.
