Cagliari are in mourning after one of their fans died of a heart attack while attending last night’s game, but there are reports Fiorentina supporters made insulting chants.
The fan, named by the club as 45-year-old Daniele Atzori, collapsed while sitting in the Curva Sud during the final minutes of Friday’s 2-1 Serie A victory over Fiorentina.
Ambulance crew rushed to the stands and used both CPR and a defibrillator, but to no avail.

There wasn’t even time to take him to the hospital, so his body was covered by a sheet in the Curva Sud.
There are reports in the newspaper Nuova Sardegna that a small group of Fiorentina fans sang an insulting chant during the incident: ‘Just die.’
It would be particularly horrific for this to occur considering the game had been halted at the 13th minute for a standing ovation in memory of Davide Astori, the former Cagliari and Fiorentina defender who died of a cardiac irregularity a year ago.
Several of the other Fiorentina fans who were in that section expressed their disgust at the small group responsible for these chants.
Fiorentina have also released a statement "condemning anyone who did not show solidarity" with Cagliari and the stricken supporter.
