China have officially appointed former Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro as their new Coach.
It was confirmed on Friday that Cannavaro would split the role with his existing position in charge of Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande.
However, it is not clear whether the 45-year-old will be China’s permanent CT or whether it is only a temporary arrangement.
Cannavaro succeeds Marcello Lippi, who led the ex-Juventus defender and Italy to glory at the 2006 World Cup, at the helm.
