Genoa forward Goran Pandev has finally become an Italian citizen, 18 years since first arriving in the country.

Pandev joined Inter back in the summer of 2001 at the age of just 18 and has gone on to spend the majority of his professional career in Italy with the likes of Lazio, Napoli and Genoa, as well as the Nerazzurri.

“I’m delighted, after almost 18 years in Italy I’ve felt Italian for a long time,” the 35-year-old told the club’s official Twitter account.
