“We have to face this spell as men, all together, and give a great performance on the field,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“We must be bolder. We’ve always had that in our locker, but it hasn’t been coming out automatically.

“We’re working to do that. There’s a lot of desire on the part of everyone. As always, our attitude will count for the most. We mustn’t be found wanting on any details.

“We have to attack and defend as 11, all together, supported by our fans. Tactics come after that.

“I’m sure our fans would support us properly if they saw us give out important signals, so we must put them in a position to cheer until the last minute.

“Parma have picked up many points away from home, they play with a low centre of gravity and like to counter.”

Hosting Parma on the back of three straight defeats, the Sardinians will be hoping for an quick impact from new signings Christian Oliva and Kiril Despodov…

“Oliva and Despodov are growing,” added Maran.

“Gradually they’re becoming more and more ready. Our experienced players must be able to show them the way.

“The younger lads have to bring out their freshness so they can pose a threat.”
