Now that Higuain has completed the transfer to Chelsea and been replaced by Poland international Krzysztof Piatek from Genoa, Salvini has been discussing the team again.

“I am happy that Higuain has left,” he told reporters at a political rally.
“Commitment to honouring the jersey is fundamental. He left and we won, so he can go wherever he wants. I don’t like mercenaries in politics or football.
“I like Piatek very much, plus he has an EU passport!”
