Olympique Marseille have officially signed Italy striker Mario Balotelli from Ligue 1 rivals Nice on a contract until the end of the season.
The deal was confirmed in a statement on Marseille’s official website, while Nice added in its own that Balotelli had terminated his contract to make the move.
The 28-year-old will wear the No 9 jersey for Rudi Garcia side’s over the next five months and reportedly earn at least €4m during that time.

Balotelli joined Nice in the summer of 2016 and restored his reputation, scoring 43 goals and ending his exile from the Italy squad.
However, the former Inter, Manchester City, Milan and Liverpool hitman failed to net in the first half of 2018-19 after he fell out with new boss Patrick Vieira.
