The FIGC announced on Wednesday that Preziosi had been referred to its Federal National Court for ‘going public with statements that were detrimental to Di Bello’s reputation’.

The 70-year-old hit out at the official’s ‘disgraceful’ refereeing during the Grifone’s 3-2 defeat to Roma on December 16, accusing him of ‘acting in bad faith’.

It came after Alessandro Florenzi seemed to push Goran Pandev as he was mid-air trying to head a cross deep in stoppage time, but there was no VAR review.
