Novara Coach William Viali admits his team “became demoralised” too early into their 4-1 Coppa Italia defeat to Lazio.
The Serie C outfit were surprise participants in the Round of 16, having eliminated Perugia, Brescia and Pisa.
“We did well in the opening stages, but after going 2-0 down, we got demoralised and I didn’t like that attitude,” Viali told Rai Sport.

“We did well in the opening stages, but after going 2-0 down, we got demoralised and I didn’t like that attitude,” Viali told Rai Sport.
“The second half was an improvement and we got a goal too. Unfortunately, we knew full well that we could only win by pouncing on an error and Lazio made very few.”
