The Biancocelesti are hoping to bounce back after a chaotic, disappointing 2-2 draw against Sampdoria last weekend, and the midweek Europa League loss to Eintracht Frankfurt, but they face a tough opponent in Bergamo.

"Trying out a new formation gave us an extra push," said Inzaghi in today's Press conference. "We had this option and we trialled it over the week. It could come in handy before the end of the season.

"As for my players, [Valon] Berisha felt some pain when he played last Thursday and I won't be risking him. [Lucas] Leiva is feeling better, he wanted to train again but we don't have a green light for him to come back into the group.

"I am extremely happy with the players I can work with. [Joaquin] Correa is doing wonderfully, he was already familiar with Serie A and this made it easier for him to hit the ground running.

"It's possible to play Correa and [Joaquim] Alberto together, from the start or as an in-game solution.

"Atalanta do have Papu Gomez, whom I admire. We'll have to keep a special eye on him tomorrow."

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is among the Lazio players who have been struggling the most this season, to the point that he even drew some insults from the fans.

"The past is in the past. In the last few games, his input and running were excellent. I've said this in the past, but we were probably accustomed to seeing a player who scored in every game he played.

"Only the pitch can change our evaluation, but personally I am certain that we will soon see the real Milinkovic-Savic again.

"Adam Marusic has been training well in the past few days. He had a few problems ever since pre-season training, so he wasn't able to train the way that he did last year.

"He's a serious lad and I'm really counting on him. I'll consider whether to start him or use him from the bench."
