Real Madrid have officially appointed caretaker manager Santiago Solari as their Coach on a contract to June 2021.

He took over the position after Julen Lopetegui was fired on October 29.

This evening, Real Madrid announced Solari was no longer an interim coach, but had signed on to the main role for the next three years.

The 42-year-old was given the vote of confidence after winning all four of his matches, including a 5-0 Champions League visit to Viktoria Plzen.

They are the reigning Champions League holders and are in the same group as Roma, with a clash at the Stadio Olimpico due on November 27.

Antonio Conte had been in talks with Real Madrid for the role after Lopetegui’s dismissal, but they could not agree terms.
