Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will miss Serbia’s Nations League derby with Montenegro on Saturday after picking up a hamstring injury.
Milinkovic-Savic had been linked with some of Europe’s top clubs over the summer, but his decision to sign a new contract with Lazio has yielded just one goal since – and possibly a spell on the sidelines.
“The list of those available has been reduced because we have a player who has suffered an injury and can’t play,” said Serbia CT Mladen Krstajic.

“That would be Sergei Milinkovic-Savic, who reported a hamstring problem in his last game.
“Now he’ll miss the game against Montenegro on Saturday and then we’ll see whether we send him back.”
