Milan have been heavily linked with bringing back Ibrahimovic following Galaxy’s failure to qualify for the MLS playoffs, although it was recently revealed that the 37-year-old never wanted to leave the Rossoneri for Paris Saint-Germain in 2012.

Nonetheless, he told his club’s official website: “The club knows all my wishes, all my demands.

“It’s up to them what they want, but they are very positive. They have been very good to me.

“They have been very helpful, they help me and my family with whatever I need. I have a good relationship with everybody. Let’s say I’m not worried.

“It’s no secret, there is interest from Europe. Absolutely, but my priority is Galaxy. I am here and I’m happy to be here.”

Galaxy President Chris Klein added: “We’re having conversations. I know he has certain things that he wants, as a club he’s a priority to keep him here.

“We’re just in initial conversations, the season just ended a week [ago], we’ve had very good conversations and continue to progress in those and hopefully to a resolution that is good for Zlatan and the club.”

Ibrahimovic scored 22 goals and assisted 10 for the American side between March and October and is up for the MLS’ Most Valuable Player award.
