Chievo’s three-point penalty has been confirmed in the current Serie A season after separate appeals to reduce or increase it.

The penalty was inflicted over the summer for false accounting, as Chievo are accused of trading players with Cesena – now bankrupt – at vastly inflated prices to help balance the books.

Chievo had appealed to have the punishment reduced, while Crotone put forward their own request to increase it.

Today the Corte Federale d’Appello ruled that the three-point deduction would remain.
