Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo reiterates that he “firmly denies” rape allegations made against him.
The Ballon d’Or rejected the claims made by Kathryn Mayorga in Der Spiegel and has already threatened legal action.
According to the German magazine, 34-year-old Ms Mayorga filed a report with Las Vegas police shortly after the alleged incident in 2009.
She then reportedly reached an out-of-court settlement with Ronaldo in 2010, receiving $375,000 (£288,000) to never go public with the allegations.

Her lawyers claim that the non-disclosure agreement is void.
Nevada police have re-opened the investigation into the allegations, which Ronaldo denies and for which he has never been charged, and he issued a statement today.
“I firmly deny the accusations being issued against me,” he wrote on Twitter.
“Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything that I am and believe in.
“Keen as I may be to clear my name, I refuse to feed the media spectacle created by people seeking to promote themselves at my expense.
“My clear conscious [sic] will thereby allow me to await with tranquillity the results of any and all investigations.”
