Fiorentina would have replaced Milan in the Europa League if UEFA’s exclusion stood, but the Rossoneri had their punishment revoked by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on Friday.
“Throughout this entire affair, Fiorentina have had a clear role as a spectator, respectful of the decisions that the relevant authorities would have made,” said the Viola in a statement.
“We also want to clarify that we’re used to earning our participation in competitions on the pitch, like we have done for many years.”
