Fiorentina boss Stefano Pioli has hinted that the Viola are close to signing Roma midfielder Gerson. “I don’t think he’s our player yet.”
Fiorentina are reportedly looking to bring in Gerson on loan with an option to buy and a counter-option for Roma, and Pioli confessed he was a fan of the Brazilian youngster.
“We have many talents who are growing,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“One of the best things is that none of them have peaked. If another lad with talent comes in then great, his qualities will be made available to the team.
“Do I like him? Yes. He has some great qualities and features, but I don’t think he’s our player yet.”
