Arsenal have officially confirmed the signing of Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira, for what is thought to be a €30m fee.
There has been the basis of a deal in place for some time, but the transfer couldn’t be completed while Uruguay were still in the World Cup.
This week though the midfielder flew out to London to complete the transfer, and he has now been officially announced as an Arsenal player.
The Gunners posted a video on their Twitter account to announce the signing, while Sampdoria released an official statement.
