Chievo Verona have presented their first, second and third choice kits for the 2018-19 season, including some surprising Latin phrases.

The Flying Donkeys go with traditional all-yellow kit, with blue features on the sleeves and the outline of a knight on horseback on both the chest and lower torso.

Their away kit is white with a shaded dark blue stripe down one side, in which there is the symbol of a ladder – the icon of Verona – with blue sleeves.

On the back of the collar is written ‘Gaudete in domino’ – the Latin for Rejoice in the Lord, often heard in Gregorian chants.

Their third choice jersey is deep blue with the yellow stripe down one side, but also has three yellow buttons featured on the other shoulder.

This shirt has another Latin phrase, but it is a little more on the fun side: ‘Omnes insani veronenses’ means ‘The Veronese are all crazy.’
