Napoli have officially signed Greek international Orestis Karnezis from Udinese, joining his former teammate Alex Meret.

It was announced, once again, by Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis on Twitter.

The Partenopei completely revamped their goalkeeping pool this summer after Pepe Reina left as a free agent to join Milan.

In a double deal with Udinese believed to be worth €28m, Meret has now been joined by Karnezis.

In a double deal with Udinese believed to be worth €28m, Meret has now been joined by Karnezis.

The Greek goalkeeper turns 33 next week and spent last season on loan at Watford.

He knows 21-year-old Meret well and will continue to act as a mentor to the young talent.
