Sporting CP are in utter chaos, firing Sinisa Mihajlovic just nine days after he took the job and Emiliano Viviano could also now leave.
The club has been in turmoil for weeks now, as an attack by masked hooligans in the training ground prompted several star players to terminate their contracts.
Under-fire President Bruno de Carvalho appointed Mihajlovic and was voted out of office by a coup just days later, as 71 per cent of the club’s paying members moved against him.

The knock-on effect is that today CEO Sousa Cintra announced in a Press conference they will “find another Coach with the name confirmed by Monday.
“Sporting will be strong and fight for first place. Mihajlovic doesn’t fit in with that vision and we have already spoken to his lawyers.”
According to Sky Sport Italia, Mihajlovic hasn’t formally been told of this development and only signed a three-year contract nine days ago.
It’s not just him, as Sportitalia suggest ex-Sampdoria goalkeeper Viviano could also walk away from Sporting in a row over his wages just days after signing.
