The former Liverpool man completed his medical today and put pen to paper on a contract that will expire in June 2022.

Although he was technically a free agent after his contract with Liverpool expired, he still ended up costing €16m between signing-on fees and agent commissions.

According to reports in Italy, there is a hidden detail in the deal that means Can could leave earlier than expected.

It’s claimed there is a release clause worth €50m, but it’d only be valid for clubs outside Italy and could not be activated until his third season in Turin.

The use of a release clause in any Juventus contract is a complete novelty.
