Federico Chiesa reveals his Dad Enrico “keeps my feet on the ground and gives a lot of advice, but didn’t speak to me for three days.”
The Fiorentina starlet is only 20 years old, but already plays like a Serie A and Italy veteran.
That’s also because he grew up in a football family as the son of former Parma, Sampdoria and Lazio hero Enrico Chiesa.
“My Dad keeps a close eye on me and gives me a lot of advice, especially about my behaviour. He tells me off a lot…” Federico told Rai Sport.

“I received a red card against Pescara after just 30 minutes. I knew it was a mistake, but he didn’t speak to me for three days, so I realised it was really bad!
“He said I won’t be a proper Serie A player until I’ve had 300 appearances, so he keeps my feet on the ground.”
It has been said father and son have a very similar running style, although one was a striker and the other is a winger.
“We are different players, as he was more technically gifted and I have more physicality and stamina. I hope one day to get even close to what my Dad achieved, as he was truly remarkable.”
