“There are still four important games to go, but this was a very important step forward. It’s a solid group, we do miss players when they are out, but those who come in still play the same way and bring fresh energy. This is a team that is strong in both the legs and the mind.
“It was perhaps our best performance of the season, for many reasons. We shouldn’t have conceded the equaliser, but the reaction was excellent.
“It’s not easy to find the kind of atmosphere we have here in Bergamo. The stadium was packed, full of enthusiasm, and that does reach the players.
“We can’t wait until the new stadium is built. We already have such a strong bond of identity with the city and that arena will be a jewel in the crown.”
