Le Aquile are kept on their toes, as after Thursday’s 4-2 thriller against RB Salzburg, they must also prepare for the second leg of that Europa League quarter-final next week.

“That victory was thanks to the squad and we must compliment the lads for that performance against a very strong opponent,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“The first goal was a penalty invented by the referee, so we deserved to win by a bigger margin. We’ll only start thinking about Salzburg after tomorrow’s game, as Udinese are full of hidden dangers. I have the entire squad available tomorrow except for Parolo, who had a groin issue this morning, and he should be fine for Thursday. I can confirm Felipe Anderson will start.”

Udinese are in crisis after a club record seven consecutive defeats, so are certainly not lacking motivation.

“I am really worried by this match, because they have some very good players and a smart Coach. I’d have preferred to take on a team that was going through a good period of form right now.

“We must be humble and starving for success. This is a dangerous away fixture, but we have the objective in our sights and must overcome this latest obstacle.”
