Mirko Vucinic claims “there’s no middle ground” at Roma but sees similarities with Patrik Schick, who will “become an important player” for the Giallorossi.
Vucinic made over 200 appearances for Roma between 2006 and 2011, scoring 64 goals and winning two Coppe Italia, but the Montenegrin attacker endured difficulties akin to those suffered by Schick at the start of his spell at the Olimpico.
“Roma are unique, but there’s no middle ground with them,” he told the Giallorossi’s official matchday programme.
“Schick resembles me a lot. H i’s left-footed, although I kicked more with my right, and has some important technical qualities.
“He needs time, even if he’s only played a little. In my opinion, he’ll become an important player for Roma.
“Every Roma player, Totti apart, has been challenged. Wearing the Roma jersey always had a special flavour.”
