Sinisa Mihajlovic would like to see Luigi Di Biagio given the Italy job on a permanent basis - “he did well with the Under-21s”.
The former midfielder has been appointed as caretaker CT for the friendlies with England and Argentina, and the FIGC haven’t ruled out giving him the job on a permanent basis.
“I want to see Di Biagio in the next two games,” Mihajlovic, who was sacked by Torino earlier this season, told Sky.
“He did well with the Under-21s, even if he has a lower profile than [Roberto] Mancini, [Carlo] Ancelotti etc.
“The squad is good and I think he could do well, then we’ll see if the Federation decide to give it to him.”
