Emerson Palmieri has left Roma’s training ground, and it’s expected he’ll now head to London to sign for Chelsea.

The Blues have agreed a deal to sign the full-back, believed to be €20m plus €6m in bonuses.

Initially the Premier League side had hoped to do a double deal for the Brazilian-Italian and his teammate Edin Dzeko, but the striker looks set to stay.

This morning Emerson arrived for training with the rest of his teammates, but RomaNews and VoceGiallorossa report that he left shortly afterward.

That would suggest he was simply saying goodbye to staff and teammates, with his medical scheduled for this afternoon.
