Talk of Dzeko leaving for Chelsea has overshadowed Roma’s preparation for their trip to Samp on Wednesday, but Giampaolo refused to believe the Giallorossi would be any weaker.
“Before the game against Fiorentina, I asked them to train without pressure or setting objectives, and we’ll have to do the same again tomorrow,” he said at a Press conference.

“Wins help ease the pressure on you. Quagliarella? He’s undergone tests and treatments. We still have another training session tomorrow morning, when we can make a more precise point about his condition.
“As far as our formation is concerned, it’s still up in the air, but we’ll certainly play 11 against 11.
“Dzeko’s possible absence? I don’t know, but the Giallorossi have a very good squad, which can handle these situations.
“Di Francesco'’ team play a European brand of football, which sees them want the ball, and they know how to play with courage.
“We’ll face a team that won’t wait around and don’t just manage certain moments of the game.
“Everything is enhanced by the technical and physical qualities of the individual. We’ll have to play with personality, playing together and in an organised manner, without wasting energy, and playing a different type of football than the one we’re used to.
“Still, we must respect our principles so we can channel our energies in the best way: a high-intensity, mental game should be played.
“We both played last Sunday, we play again tomorrow and then again next Sunday: we start on the same footing.
