Zeman: ‘Scudetto race is nice’

Zdenek Zeman says it’s “nice” to have a proper Scudetto race, and sees problems for both Juventus and Napoli.

The two sides are locked in a race for the title, with the Bianconeri two points head of Maurizio Sarri’s side as things stand.

“It’s nice that there are two teams involved for the Scudetto,” Zeman told RMC Sport.

“Despite having a two point advantage, Juventus have some problems, they have too many commitments.

“It’s nice that there are two teams involved for the Scudetto,” Zeman told RMC Sport.

“Despite having a two point advantage, Juventus have some problems, they have too many commitments.

“Napoli definitely don’t have many starters, so the head-to-head game will be decisive.”

Zeman also gave his opinion on the two Roman teams, starting with Lazio.

“[Coach Simone] Inzaghi did well in the first part of the season, now maybe they’re lacking a bit of strength and have dropped off a bit.

“They have to try in the Europa League, I don’t know if they will succeed or not. The next game isn’t easy either, because Salzburg knocked out Borussia Dortmund.

“As for Roma, [Coach Eusebio] Di Francesco had a period before Christmas with no results. The squad is strong though and can compete with anyone.”
