Mino Raiola warns Serie A clubs “can’t afford” his client Romelu Lukaku, the Everton striker.

The Belgian international has been linked with a move to Juventus, but his representative says Italian clubs don’t have the means to sign him.

“He certainly has the qualities to play in Italy,” Raiola told Sportwereld.

“But as the Italian landscape currently looks, there's no team that can afford Romelu. He is too expensive for Serie A, unless of course the Chinese investors come [to Milan].

“Only a global power can pay for him. The top clubs in England, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

“Everton don't need the money anymore but Romelu wants to play for a club that can win trophies.

“Something's changed at Everton. There's a new project. If he leaves, it has to be a good deal for all parties.”

The agent also represents Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but wouldn’t be drawn on their futures.

“Whether it’s Pogba, Ibrahimovic or Lukaku, they’re currently playing in the European Championships.

“Their duty is to concentrate on that, so their future is tomorrow. As long as they’re in the European Championships that’s their future.”
