Torino President Urbano Cairo calls Adem Ljajic “one of those players I’d always keep”, but admits the Serbian might want to leave.

The playmaker has been heavily linked with an exit before the end of the transfer window, despite Granata fans insisting he should stay.

“If we were to be deprived of Ljajic it’d only be due to him being unhappy,” Cairo explain on Radio 24.

“If there’s one person who’s a fan of Adem then it’s me, he’s one of those players I’d always keep. The way he plays is enjoyable, fun and lovely to watch.

“I bought him two years ago, I like him very much and I wouldn’t like to lose him unless he asks to go.

“The squad has been strengthened with the signings of [Simone] Zaza and [Roberto] Soriano.

“He’s a good lad but I don’t know if he’d agree to play only 20 games and only start sometimes. If the player isn’t happy to stay at Torino under these conditions then I don’t know if it’s possible for him to stay.”
