Antonio Cassano scored his 100th Serie A goal yesterday, but also fractured his nose and had surgery today.
The Parma striker netted in the 1-1 draw with Bologna on Saturday evening, officially his 100th in the top flight.
However, he accidentally collided with teammate Nicola Sansone in the second half and was able to continue after treatment.
Cassano suffered a cut to the eyebrow, but tests also now show he fractured his nose and went under the knife this morning to reduce the fracture.
He will rest until Tuesday, when he’s due for a check-up.
