Veteran Verona striker Luca Toni has made himself available for Italy ahead of World Cup 2014.
There have been suggestions that the 36-year-old could be a surprise pick for Cesare Prandelli given his form this season.
“Five years ago I decided to say stop to the Italian national side,” the former Fiorentina and Bayern Munich man noted.
“However, if Prandelli was to call then I would never turn him down. If my help is needed then I am ready.”
Toni, five strikes in 10 League games this term, won the World Cup with Italy in 2006. He has scored 16 goals in 47 caps for the Azzurri.
