Jackson Martinez has confirmed Porto turned down an offer from Italian club Napoli during the summer transfer session.
“It is true, I admit it,” the Colombian told O Jogo. “Last summer Napoli wanted me and they were quite insistent.
“Porto, though, didn’t want to sell me and they made it clear that they wanted to keep me here.”
Martinez is a 27-year-old who moved to Porto in 2012 from Jaguares de Chiapas.
After missing out on the South American, the Azzurri signed Duvan Zapata instead from Estudiantes.
