Luca Toni can’t stop scoring for Verona and leaves the door open for the World Cup. “Cesare Prandelli will decide.”
The 36-year-old has netted five goals in nine Serie A games this season, along with providing seven assists.
Today he scored in a 2-1 victory over Cagliari that puts Hellas Verona in fourth place alongside Inter.
“I helped Verona to do well, but behind me there is a team that plays good football and Coach Andrea Mandorlini prepares matches in the best way possible,” Toni told Rai Sport.
“For the moment my physical condition is good. Would I go to the World Cup? Prandelli will decide in June whether to bet on me.”
Toni certainly has experience, as he won the 2006 World Cup with Italy, scoring two goals.
