Fiorentina stopper Nenad Tomovic says his side made an error in trying to defend their 1-0 lead at Inter on Thursday.
The Viola went ahead at San Siro thanks to a Giuseppe Rossi penalty, but the home side hit back to collect a 2-1 win.
“We are a team who like to attack more than defend,” the 26-year-old told Sky Sport Italia after the club’s first loss of the League campaign.
“We therefore made a mistake in sitting back a bit and waiting for the final whistle once we had taken the lead.
“When you do that against a strong opponent then you will be punished.”
Vincenzo Montella’s side have scored 11 goals in their five Serie A games so far this term, but they have conceded six.
