Fiorentina will be without playmaker David Pizarro for two Serie A games following his dismissal against Cagliari on Sunday.
The Chilean international was shown a red card late in the game for abusing the referee in an encounter which controversially ended 1-1.
The suspended Pizarro will thus miss the ties against Atalanta and Inter. The Viola will also be without the injured Mario Gomez and Juan Cuadrado for those matches.
Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella has also been fined €5,000 for his protests about the referee at the end of the game.
Atalanta’s Luca Cigarini will also be absent in Week 4 as he was handed a one-match ban today.
