Bologna boss Stefano Pioli is confident Rolando Bianchi will be able to fill the void left by the departure of Alberto Gilardino.
Bianchi has arrived on a free transfer from Torino after his contract expired, while the Italian international has returned to Genoa following his loan spell at the Dall’Ara.
“Bianchi is integrating himself really well into the squad,” the former Chievo Verona and Palermo boss told Sky Sport Italia.
“He has great quality and he can easily get into double figures when it comes to goals in the new campaign.”
Bianchi, 30, scored 11 goals in 32 Serie A games for Toro last term. Gilardino hit 13 in 36 for the Rossoblu.
“We’ll start the season with a better base than we did the last championship,” Pioli continued. “We’re hopeful that we can have a good campaign.
“However, Serie A will be very difficult and balanced this time around.”
