Lazio midfielder Cristian Ledesma “is very disappointed with Cesare Prandelli” after receiving only one Italy cap.
The Argentine took on Italian citizenship and made his Azzurri debut on November 17 2010, a 1-1 draw against Romania, but hasn’t featured since.
“Cristian is very disappointed with Prandelli’s decisions, as he gave up the chance to represent Argentina in order to play for the Azzurri,” agent Vincenzo D’Ippolito told Radio Manà Manà.
“It’s frankly strange that he has been ignored, because he’s Italy’s best midfielder after Andrea Pirlo.”
Ledesma is thoroughly settled with the Biancocelesti and even opened a sports store in Rome with his wife.
“Ledesma is thinking only about Lazio, so his future will be in Rome.”
