Parma defender Fabiano Santacroce has commented on Roma fans racial abuse of Milan players, saying it should 'never happen again'.
Some sections of the Giallorossi support were heard racially abusing Mario Balotelli and Kevin-Prince Boateng during their 0-0 with the Rossoneri on Sunday.
And the Crociati centre-back has revealed he was delighted to see some fans cheer when the game was momentarily abandoned.
“I do not understand how these unpleasant episodes could happen,” he told RTL 102.5.
“I hope we never see that again in a stadium.
“I'm really sorry, but this should be over-exaggerated. I was delighted to hear the cheers when the match was suspended.
“As a child I was the victim of racist chanting and it made me angry.
“But then I realised that their booing was down to the fact that the opponents feared me.”
Roma have been fined €50,000 for the chanting by Lega Calcio officials, with the club releasing a statement condemning the 'unacceptable' of actions of some of their fans.
