Catania President Antonino Pulvirenti claims star man Alejandro Gomez is on the verge of a switch to Spain.
The Argentine has been hotly linked with Atletico Madrid and it seems that the Spanish capital will be his next destination.
“Gomez is very close to Atletico Madrid,” Pulvirenti noted on Monday afternoon. “And it’s very probable that he will be sold.”
The 25-year-old, who has already worked with Atletico boss Diego Simeone in his career, has scored eight goals in 35 Serie A matches this term.
Gomez moved to the Stadio Massimino in 2010 from San Lorenzo.
